However, Linux has a bad reputation for PC gaming since Linux-based systems are often limited to games that are natively designed for them. Thankfully, Steam Deck runs on a Linux-based software called Steam Proton which functions as a compatibility layer for PC games that are native to Windows. Earlier today, Valve broke the news that, in an effort to ensure the best possible experience for gamers, they have pushed the release of their Steam Machine to 2015. And as a result, the launch of the Steam controller has been delayed as well. There aren’t too many details from Valve, but it sounds like the ongoing beta tests for the prototype Steam Machines (sent to a wide variety of gamers) have revealed more than Valve was expecting....

This time around, Steam invites players to an event known as “Forge Your Fate,” offering customers fourteen choose your own adventure stories that can be found during the sale. Players will be asked to pick one of two options during these tales, with their answer netting them an animated sticker as a memento. It’s sure to appeal to avid collectors of Steam’s animated stickers, offering them a host of new collectibles to chase down over the next fortnight....

Before it did, however, Steam removed the game, leaving many wondering exactly what was allowed on the platform. In a blog post, Valve revealed the answer to that question: The exception to the rule, however, is anything illegal or designed as a “trolling” game. While the legality of a game is self-explanatory, “trolling” is a bit less defined. The Stargate franchise has three official TV series to its name, each lasting multiple seasons.
