According to a recent post on the Steam website, the first batch of Steam Deck reservation holders will be receiving an email soon where they will then be given 72 hours to make their purchases. If this time frame elapses without a purchase, or anyone who gets emailed chooses to cancel their order, the reservation will be released for the next person in the queue.
