Starfield is currently being developed by a team that’s double the size of the one that worked on Fallout 76. So far, fans have seen a decent amount of teasers and images, including some gameplay footage, which has given them a general idea of what they can expect the game to be like when it comes out in 2023. However, to keep fans excited and engaged before the game’s release, Bethesda is continuously sharing new details and information related to the game.

Starfield is set in a time when humans have left planet Earth, and it is no longer habitable. A recent Constellation Questions video of Bethesda’s lead quest designer Will Shen revealed that while playing Starfield, players will be sent on a mission to Earth to discover the history of a few artifacts. During their stay there, they will be able to discover what happened to the planet and why humans were forced to leave.
Shen also revealed that players will visit Mars and stumble upon an ancient settlement called Cydonia. Cydonia was built in the early days of human space exploration. The city is populated by people who have their own problems, and players will be able to interact with them. Shen further goes on to say that, just like the Radiant Quests of Skyrim, Starfield will have procedurally generated quests, but the system has been updated and improved significantly since 2011.
The potential fan base for the upcoming Starfield game is sure to grow with the recent revelations about the game. Starfield was first announced in 2018 and since then Bethesda has invested plenty in its marketing. Starfield was initially projected to come out in 2022, but was pushed back to 2023 instead. A specific release date is not available at the time of this writing, but more information on that front should come to light in the months ahead.
Starfield releases in 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
