The key question going into Week 3: After the rash of RB injuries last week (Adrian Peterson, Jonathan Stewart, Doug Martin, Arian Foster, Danny Woodhead, Ameer Abdullah), which of the new fill-in running backs should you trust most? Answers, below.

WEEK 3 RANKINGS:Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | Defense | Kicker
Week 3 fantasy football start ’em: Quarterback
Matt Ryan, Falcons (at NO). Ryan is red hot over the first two games, as Atlanta has looked much better in the red zone. He’s also taking advantage of having two new targets in Mohamed Sanu and Austin Hooper. The Saints’ defense will play a little over its head on an emotional MNF, especially against the run, but that should put Ryan in position to throw often in trail mode against a shaky secondary.
DFS steal: Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins at CLE ($7,300 on FanDuel). He put up 25 points on New England after a slow start and now gets the Browns in the home opener. He’ll have the type of game Carson Wentz had in Week 1 (278 yards, 2 TDs).
Four more: Eli Manning, Giants (vs. WAS), Philip Rivers, Chargers (at IND), Matthew Stafford, Lions (at GB), Marcus Mariota, Titans (vs. OAK)
WEEK 3 DFS: FD cash lineup | DK cash | FD tournament | DK tournament | Values
Week 3 fantasy football sit ’em: Quarterback
Tyrod Taylor, Bills (vs. ARI). The Bills want to throw more downfield without OC Greg Roman. And you might think that’s great, considering Taylor lit up the Jets, but, really, it took two major lapses to let that happen, and he still has a banged-up left tackle, go-to wide receiver, and tight end. The Cardinals will spy him to contain his running and use their speed to slow down what’s around him.
Four more: Andy Dalton, Bengals (vs. DEN), Jameis Winston, Buccaneers (vs. LA), Kirk Cousins, Redskins (at NYG), Carson Wentz, Eagles (vs. PIT)

Week 3 fantasy football start ’em: Running back
Rashad Jennings, Giants (vs. WAS). He should play through his thumb injury, and with all the attention on the Giants’ passing game, their improved offensive line is built to pound it well on the Redskins. He’s a very viable RB2 this week.
( UPDATE : Jenning will NOT play against Washington. Do not start him.)
DFS steal: Charles Sims, Buccaneers vs. LA ($6,300 on FanDuel). Of all the running back injuries that happened in Week 2, none left a clearer situation than in Tampa where Doug Martin (hamstring) went on the shelf. Sims will lose a few touches to Jacquizz Rodgers, but he will be very busy as a runner and receiver. The Rams are vulnerable to backs in both areas.
Four more: Melvin Gordon, Chargers (at IND), Isaiah Crowell, Browns (at MIA), Christine Michael, Seahawks (vs. SF), Jerick McKinnon, Vikings (at CAR)
Week 3 fantasy football sit ’em: Running back
Matt Jones, Redskins (at NYG). On the flip side, Washington hasn’t been able to run the ball that well, and Jones needed a terrific lunge to save his value with a TD last week. This feels like a Chris Thompson “dumpoff game” on the road.
Four more: Theo Riddick/Dwayne Washington, Lions (at GB), Cameron Artis-Payne/Fozzy Whitaker, Panthers (vs. MIN), Spencer Ware, Chiefs (vs. NYJ), Jay Ajayi/Kenyan Drake/Isaiah Pead/Damien Williams, Dolphins (vs. CLE)

Week 3 fantasy football start ’em: Wide receiver
Tyler Lockett, Seahawks (vs. SF). Lockett knocked on the door of exploding against the Rams, and the 49ers really struggled with speedy field-stretchers in Carolina. Also of note: Lockett scored three times against the Niners last season. Lock him in everywhere.
DFS steal: Tajae Sharpe, Titans vs. OAK ($5,800 on FanDuel). The Raiders’ secondary is struggling, and David Amerson being banged up doesn’t help. The Titans also might need Sharpe a whole lot more if Delanie Walker can’t play because of his hamstring injury.
Four more: Will Fuller, Texans (at NE), Willie Snead, Saints (vs. ATL), Sterling Shepard, Giants (vs. WAS), DeVante Parker, Dolphins (vs. CLE)
Week 3 fantasy football sit ’em: Wide receiver
Allen Hurns, Jaguars (vs. BAL). He’s been rather quiet for Jacksonville’s loaded passing game, even as their leading receiver. Allen Robinson is due to have a big game, and both Julius Thomas and Marqise Lee are cutting more into Hurns’ key looks.
Four more: Sammy Watkins, Bills (vs. ARI), Golden Tate, Lions (at GB), DeSean Jackson, Redskins (at NYG), Emmanuel Sanders, Broncos (at CIN)

Week 3 fantasy football start ’em: Tight end
Gary Barnidge, Browns (at MIA). OK, we’re giving him one more week to shape up, and things have kind of aligned for him. You can bet he’ll become the primary security blanket of rookie QB Cody Kessler, who will carry his checkdown ways from USC. Barnidge has to be busy now that there’s no Corey Coleman (hand) to go along with no Josh Gordon (suspension).
DFS steal: Jared Cook, Packers vs. DET ($5,000 on FanDuel). The Lions are very vulnerable to the TE position after allowing multiple Colts and one Titan to go off. There’s still a question at safety, and their coverage is off without linebacker DeAndre Levy. Cook showed more signs he’s ready to make a Lambeau Leap this week.
Four more: Dwayne Allen, Colts (vs. SD), Dennis Pitta, Ravens (at JAX), Jason Witten, Cowboys (vs. CHI), Eric Ebron, Lions (at GB)
WEEK 3 DFS: FD cash lineup | DK cash | FD tournament | DK tournament | Values
Week 3 fantasy football sit ’em: Tight end
Coby Fleener, Saints (vs. ATL). The numbers show that he should be a good play after tight ends from Tampa Bay and Oakland went off against the Falcons. But the problem is the real disconnect that exists between Fleener and Drew Brees. Until you see something, anything, he’s a huge dice roll.
Four more: Jacob Tamme, Falcons (at NO), Vance McDonald, 49ers (at SEA), Kyle Rudolph, Vikings (at CAR), Jesse James, Steelers (at PHI)

Week 3 fantasy football start ’em: Defense
Packers (vs. DET). They’ve been disappointing in fantasy so far, but the reality is, they are stuffing the run and getting to the passer. That’s bound to lead to a big takeaway day here against the mistake-prone and banged-up Lions in Lambeau.
DFS steal: Dolphins vs. CLE ($5,600 on Fan Duel)
Four more: Giants (vs. WAS), Jets (at KC), Buccaneers (vs. LA), Cowboys (vs. CHI)

Week 3 fantasy football sit ’em: Defense
Vikings (at CAR). The Vikings have come out flying against the Titans and Packers, but this is Cam Newton and the high-flying Panthers on the road. You’ll find someone else to plug and play for a week.
Four more: Patriots (vs. HOU), Chiefs (vs. NYJ). Eagles (vs. PIT), Raiders (at TEN)
