Possession-kings Barcelona had less than 50% of the ball for the first time in five years

Yes its true, Barcelona may have won 4-0 against Rayo Vallecano last night but they lost something which they have won for the last 316 games - Barcelona had less than 50% of the ball.

Its not the end of the world for the La Liga champions who are still sitting at the top of the table after 5 straight victories. But the Catalans, who are known to play possession football and boss around their opponents, were beaten for possession by a lowly Rayo Vallecano side. Maybe new coach Gerardo Martino is trying to change the strategy or just trying out other different things. Albeit, it was a strong win for the Catalans and Pedro scored a hat-trick to help maintain their perfect start to the Liga season. Neymar and Fabregas also had a decent outing with the former Arsenal man getting on the score sheet to score Barca’s last goal.
