Harris, then a member of the Broncos, reacted to Trump’s comments at the time. On Wednesday at Steelers OTAs, Harris addressed the issue once more.
“The right to pursue freedom and liberty in this country and practice your own religion, that’s as American as it gets," Harris said, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “If you’re against that, to me and to others, it’s un-American.”
This is an issue Harris takes very seriously considering he practices the Muslim faith. He said he’s been treated well in the NFL and hasn’t had any negative attention for his beliefs.
